Collecting World Cup coins with petrol. First tasted beer in a pub near Swindon on a bus trip to watch Wales play at Twickenham. Hated it and never tried it again.

Early in the year, game against Manchester City, Jimmy Greaves first game, atrocious wet conditions, and that goal by Ronnie Boyce (I was behind that goal and could see the look on Joe Corrigan's face when the ball went past him!).
On the way back to the station from Maine Road it was so stuffy on the bus that the windows steamed up and I missed Piccadilly and ended up in some north Manchester slum.
Still smiling thinking of that day.
